Roost Bistro in Boston's Back Bay Has Closed

by Marc Hurwitz

An upscale Back Bay restaurant that focused mainly on New American fare has closed its doors.

According to a poster on the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Roost Bistro has shut down, with website for the Newbury Street spot simply saying "Sorry we are now closed. We thank you for your patronage in the past." This confirms what we have heard from a few sources over the past few days who said it looked like the restaurant was no longer in operation.

Roost Bistro first opened in the spring of 2014, replacing The Creperie which was under the same ownership; the restaurant offered such items as clam chowder, steak tips, filet mignon, statler chicken, baked scrod, and grilled salmon.

The address for this now-closed restaurant in the Back Bay was: Roost Bistro, 259 Newbury Street, Boston, MA, 02116.
