A coffee shop in Boston that was shut down for a few weeks last summer appears to be closing for good this time.
According to several sources, Peet's Coffee & Tea in the city's Beacon Hill neighborhood is shutting down, with one source sending a picture showing a sign out front at the Charles Street spot saying it will be closing on January 25. The note also refers customers to locations of Peet's within Capital One banks on Tremont Street and Boylston Street, while other locations of Peet's remain in operation in Brookline, Cambridge, Lexington, Sudbury, and Wellesley. [Ed note: A subsequent article indicates that the Brookline location of Peet's is closing on January 25 as well.]
The Beacon Hill location of Peet's temporarily shuttered in mid-July, with a sign out front at the time saying "Closed by order of Licensing Board for the City of Boston." The shop ended up reopening in early to mid-August.
The address for Peet's in Beacon Hill is 66 Charles Street, Boston, MA, 02114. The website for Peet's is at http://www.peets.com/
