A growing local group of bakeries and cafes will be opening yet another location in Boston, and this one should be popular with students.
According to a source within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Tatte Bakery & Cafe will be opening on the ground floor of a tower on Mass. Ave. that is part of the Berklee College of Music. A Facebook post from Roger Brown--who is the president of Berklee--confirms this, saying that the new outlet should open sometime this summer. It appears that Tatte will take over at least part of the Back Bay Beats (B3) space; B3 was a restaurant and music spot that closed last fall after being in business for approximately a year and a half.
Tatte, which has a number of locations in Boston, Cambridge, and Brookline, is also in the process of opening a new outlet at One Boston Place on Washington Street in downtown Boston [ed note--now open].
The address for the new location of Tatte at the Berklee College of Music is 160 Massachusetts Avenue, Boston, MA, 02115.
[July 10 update: Eater Boston states that the new location of Tatte at Berklee is now open.]
