A new entertainment complex may be on its way to Boston, and this one would feature a popular parlor game.
According to a licensing board hearing page within the city's website, SPIN is looking to open in Fort Point, moving into what appears to be a two-floor space on Melcher Street, with the manager listed--Gustavo Zylberberg--being director of operations for the New York-based chain, according to an online search. The "ping pong social club," which is also known as SPIN: United by Ping Pong, could have 12,750 square feet of space on the ground floor and another 1800 square feet of space in the basement, and based on its other locations, it will likely feature ping pong (including leagues), food and drink, and possibly space for parties and events.
Currently, locations of SPINcan be found in New York, Austin, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington, DC, and Toronto.
The address for this proposed restaurant, bar, and ping pong club is 30 Melcher Street, Boston, MA, 02210. The website for the chain can be found at https://wearespin.com/
[October 25 update: According to a press release, SPIN opens its doors in Fort Point tomorrow.]
