Brothers Kouzina in Peabody Announces Its Closure

A popular Greek restaurant that planned to close last year then decided to remain open is planning to close once again.

According to a source, Brothers Kouzina in Peabody is shutting down, with a Facebook post from the Route 1 eatery saying that "Brothers Kouzina will be closing at the end of June. We want to thank everyone for your continued support. We hope to see you before we close!!" No reason has been given for its closure, nor is it known whether the restaurant could ultimately move to a new space, so keep checking back for updates.

Last summer, Brothers Kouzina, which first opened in 2006, announced that it was looking to close around the end of 2018, but in the fall, the restaurant said that it would not be shutting down after all; the original plan had been for a medical marijuana dispensary to open in its space, but those plans apparently fell through at some point. (It is not known whether those plans are back on now.)

The address for Brothers Kouzina is 25 Newbury Street (Route 1), Peabody, MA, 01960. The website for the restaurant is at http://www.brotherskouzina.com/

[June 17 update: The Facebook page for the restaurant confirms that the last day in business for Brothers Kouzina will be Sunday, June 30.]
