It looks like a pair of cafes in Cambridge and Somerville may be joined by a third in one of the busiest parts of Boston.
According to a licensing board hearing page within the city's website, Revival Cafe & Kitchen is planning to open on Newbury Street in the Back Bay, with the notice saying that the eatery would have cafe seating indoors along with an outdoor patio during the warmer months, and that its proposed hours would be 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily. The new location would join others in Cambridge's Alewife area and Somerville's Davis Square, and Steve "Nookie" Postal (Commonwealth in Kendall Square, former Executive Chef for the Boston Red Sox) and Liza Shirazi (formerly of Crema Cafe in Harvard Square) would both be behind it. More should be known by next week, as the hearing is slated for July 10, so stay tuned for updates.
The address for this planned cafe in the Back Bay is 103 Newbury Street, Boston, MA, 02116. The website for the two existing locations can be found at https://www.revivalcafeandkitchen.com/
[July 9 update: Boston Magazine states that if plans for the place are approved by the city and construction goes as scheduled, the new location of Revival could be opening in the Back Bay this fall.]
