A local group of dining spots that recently closed nearly every one of its Boston-area locations has declared bankruptcy once again.
According to an article from the Restaurant Business site, Cosi filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy yesterday, with the plan being to restructure and boost its catering operation "to better align with current customer dining trends." This comes on the heels of the chain going up for sale two months ago and all but its Charlestown outlet (where it is also headquartered) shutting down--and the business filed for bankruptcy back in 2016 as well, at which point it also closed some of its shops.
Cosi has been known in part for its flatbread sandwiches over the years, while also offering soups, salads, pizza, and more.
