Dora's Taqueria Opens in Dorchester

A brand new Mexican restaurant has come to Dorchester, and it is located in a mostly residential area with relatively few dining options nearby.

According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Dora's Taqueria is now open on Stoughton Street around the eastern edge of Uphams Corner, a short distance west of Savin Hill. An article in the Dorchester Reporter says that the new eatery currently offers such items as tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and desserts, though owner Kelmyn Mejia plans to expand the food offerings over the coming weeks.

The Dorchester Reporter mentions that Mejia--who also owns a Dominican restaurant in Lawrence--named the new dining spot after his late grandmother.

The address for Dora's Taqueria is 112 Stoughton Street, Dorchester, MA, 02125.
