A South Shore restaurant and bar whose future has been in question for some time now is now on the verge of shutting down permanently.
According to a Facebook post from the place, the Main Street Grille in South Weymouth is closing its doors tomorrow, saying that "We would like to thank our staff, families, friends and all of our loyal guests for over 16 years for their unwavering support. It's a bittersweet ending with new beginnings on the horizon. We will be making some announcements about the future in the upcoming months. Stay tuned!" As reported earlier here, the dining and drinking spot has been looking at a pending closure for awhile in order to make room for possible new development, though it is not yet known if those plans are still in place.
The Main Street Grille is a family-friendly neighborhood pub that is known mainly for its bar food and classic American fare along with beer, wine, and cocktails.
The address for the Main Street Grille is 1400 Main Street, Weymouth, MA, 02190.
