Nusr-et Steakhouse to Open in Former Nahita/Liquid Art House Space in Boston

A new location of a group of steakhouses is on its way to a space where Boston's Back Bay and Bay Village meet, and a Turkish chef and restaurateur whose style of seasoning meat has became an Internet meme is behind the place.

According to a source, Nusr-et Steakhouse is opening on Arlington Street, moving into the space where Nahita had been (and before that, Liquid Art House), while a job post within the Craigslist site confirms this, saying that an open hiring event was held at the site yesterday. There had been some talk that Nusret Gökçe (AKA Salt Bae) might be opening a restaurant in that space, as Eater Boston mentioned earlier that Gökçe was apparently seen at the site late one night in December. (An update to the Eater article also confirmed that the restaurant would be coming to the city.) Based on its other locations, the Boston outlet of Nusr-et Steakhouse could be offering a variety of steak and lamb dishes along with meatballs, burgers, sausage, and more.

Nusret Gökçe rose to fame in 2017, thanks to a video showing him sprinkling salt on meat; the video has spawned countless memes since being released.

The address for upcoming location of Nusr-et Steakhouse will be 100 Arlington Street, Boston, MA, 02116. The website for the other locations can be found at https://www.nusr-et.com.tr/en/home.aspx

[September 15 update: A tweet from @JeremyKrantz indicates (via an Instagram post from @nusr_et) that Nusr-et Steakhouse plans to open in Boston this weekend.]

[September 17 update: The Tables section of The Boston Globe states that Nusr-et Steakhouse opens tomorrow (Friday, September 18).]
