A suburban deli that features a variety of Italian foods is changing hands.
According to a Facebook post from the place, Anthony's East Side Deli has been sold, with owner Anthony Masci saying that "After 7 years of serving the community it's time that I retire and enjoy my family....The new owner, Sonny is glad to take over and serve you with the same service." It is not yet known if the name of the Mass. Ave. eatery will change, nor is it known if any other changes might be coming, so stay tuned for updates.
Anthony's East Side Deli first opened in the spring of 2013, with the spot offering soups, salads, sandwiches, pizza, pasta, and more, including trays and platters for large groups, parties, functions, and events.
The address for Anthony's East Side Deli in East Arlington is 159 Massachusetts Avenue, Arlington, MA, 02474.
[May 22 update: An article from Your Arlington indicates that Sarbjit Saini is the license applicant for the Anthony's East Side Deli space; the post also mentions that he used to have businesses in Lexington and Belmont, with reference material within the town website showing that he had been behind Khushboo in Lexington and Kashish in Belmont, though he plans to keep the old Anthony's menu in place so this will apparently not be an Indian restaurant.]
