Tapiocarias House of Flavors Is Opening in the Former City Girl Cafe Space in Cambridge's Inman Square

A new Brazilian restaurant is coming to a space in Cambridge that had been home to an eclectic dining spot, and it looks like it will have a connection to another eatery just north of Boston.

Based on a tweet from @hoover_dam along with an OpenCorporates page, Tapiocarias House of Flavors is planning to open in the former City Girl Cafe space on Hampshire Street in Inman Square, with the name shown on the OpenCorporates page matching that of the "about us" page on the website for Tapiocarias House of Flavors in Everett. Little other information can be found on the upcoming location in Cambridge, including when it might open and whether its menu will match that of the Everett restaurant; as soon as we find out more, we will post an update here.

As reported earlier, City Girl Cafe closed its doors at the end of May, saying that "We're getting old, we're getting poor and it's about time that we figure out what to be when we grow up." The restaurant had once been known for Italian comfort food options such as bruschetta, panini, pizza, and pasta dishes.

The address for the new Tapiocarias House of Flavors in Inman Square is 204 Hampshire Street, Cambridge, MA, 02139.

[August 25 update: According to a Twitter post from @TroySch1, Tapiocarias House of Flavors is now open in Inman Square, and based on the website for the business, it looks like the new location offers similar items to that of the Everett restaurant, including salads, burgers, pizza, pasta dishes, and more, with sweet and savory tapiocas (Brazilian crepes with various fillings) being their signature dish.]
