A pair of neighborhood spots known in part for Italian dishes and BBQ is now back down to just one, as its suburban location has shut down permanently.
According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Kelley Square Pub in Peabody is no longer in operation, with a Facebook post from the Washington Street location saying that "We wanted to let you all know, unfortunately we will not be re opening. On behalf of the entire Mastrangelo family, we want to sincerely say THANK YOU!!!" The post refers customers to their location on Bennington Street in East Boston, with the restaurant's roots being in Eastie where it first started out in Central Square in 1984. (The Peabody outlet was in business for approximately five years.)
The Peabody location of Kelley Square Pub offered such items as wings, garlic bread, fried calamari, Italian sausage, chicken parmigiana, steak tips, pizza, baked haddock, ravioli, and more.
The address for Kelley Square Pub in Peabody was 135 Washington Street, Peabody, MA, 01960. The website for Kelley Square Pub can be found at http://www.kelleyssquarepub.com/
