It looks like a brand new restaurant is on its way to the North End of Boston, and it will be moving into a space where a decades-old pharmacy had been until closing last year.
According to an article from northendwaterfront.com, Nando is planning to open on Hanover Street in the former Green Cross Pharmacy space, and it is seeking the liquor license held by the now-closed Zuma Tex-Mex Grill/Mezcala Tex-Mex Grill which had been located at Faneuil Hall. The article mentions that Mira Giangregorio is behind the proposed Italian eatery and that she is a member of the family that owned the pharmacy.
The North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC) gave unanimous approval of a liquor license transfer to Nando Trattoria, according to northendwaterfront.com.
The address for Nando is 393 Hanover Street, Boston, MA, 02113.
[April 9, 2021 update: According to a source, Nando is now open, with a Facebook post from the place confirming this.]
