A pizzeria in downtown Boston that is known for its Neapolitan-style pies is shutting its doors, though its other location will remain in operation.
A message sent to us indicates that Crush Pizza on State Street is closing after business hours tomorrow (Saturday, December 19), with the closure being due in part to business being down substantially in a section of the city that has been hit particularly hard by a lack of foot traffic as so many office workers are now working from home through the pandemic. We have been told that the outlet of Crush on Hancock Street in Quincy Center will remain in operation and that the team in Boston will be moving there--and the hope is to open a new outlet in another part of Boston at some point, though no specifics have been given as of yet.
Crush Pizza first opened in Boston in 2013, with the Quincy location opening last summer.
The address for Crush Pizza in downtown Boston is 107 State Street, Boston, MA, 02109. The website for both locations can be found at https://www.crushpizza.com/
