Venice Pizza Is Returning to Dorchester's Savin Hill Neighborhood

It looks like a longtime pizzeria in Dorchester is going to be reborn.

According to a post from Universal Hub, Venice Pizza has received approval by The Zoning Board of Appeal to open back up in its space at the corner of Savin Hill Avenue and Dorchester Avenue, with the owner of the building looking to have very few changes made to the space other than making it handicap accessible and doing updates to the kitchen. The pizzeria shut down early last year after approximately 40 years in operation, and a "For Lease" sign soon went up in the window, according to an earlier Dorchester Reporter article. It is not yet known when the new version of Venice Pizza might open, so stay tuned for updates.

The address for Venice Pizza is 39 Savin Hill Avenue, Dorchester, MA, 02125. Its Facebook page can be found at https://www.facebook.com/VenicePizzaDot/

[May 3, 2021 update: A job post within the Craigslist site indicates that Venice Pizza has reopened.]
