A suburban watering hole known for its pizza is getting ready to close for the winter.
According to a source within the restaurant industry, Franco's Pizzeria and Pub in Waltham is planning to go into hibernation this weekend, with a screenshot of a Facebook post from workers at the Moody Street spot saying that it will shut down after business hours on Saturday, December 12, and remain closed until further notice. Franco's is the latest of many restaurants and bars in the Greater Boston area to make the decision to hibernate as the pandemic continues, with most of them saying they plan to reopen in the spring and/or when conditions are such that people are ready to go to dining and drinking spots once again.
The address for Franco's Pizzeria and Pub is 718 Moody Street, Waltham, MA, 02453. Its website can be found at https://www.francospizzeria.biz/
