Update: Niku Ramen Has Replaced Oisa Ramen Slurp & Go in Downtown Boston

[Ed note: This article was updated on February 12 to reflect the fact that Oisa is actually no longer in business, instead being replaced by a new concept with a new name.]

A ramen shop in downtown Boston that closed at the end of last year is now home to a new ramen place.

A tweet from @LaurenLma63 this week mentioned that Oisa Ramen Slurp & Go on Broad Street was still open, even though owner Moe Kuroki said it would be closing by or before December 31 and that Broad Street Entertainment--which runs the adjacent Tiki Rock--would keep it around for awhile as she said goodbye to the business. (Kroki had posted on Instagram on December 31 that "Slurp & Go is set to close tonight.") The Yelp page for the dining spot seemed to confirm this, indicating that the eatery was still in business with reviews being posted both this month and last month. A source now tells us that this is not actually true, saying that a new spot called Niku Ramen now resides within the old Oisa space, though it is indeed run by the Tiki Rock folks.

Oisa first opened its doors in early 2018 around the same time that Tiki Rock first opened.

The address for Niku Ramen (and Tiki Rock) is 2 Broad Street, Boston, MA, 02109. The Instagram page for Niku Ramen can be found at https://www.instagram.com/nikuramenbroadstreet/
