The Painted Burro Is Replacing the Bedford Location of Posto

Earlier this year, it was reported that an upscale Italian restaurant in the western suburbs of Boston was becoming a new location of a Mexican dining spot under the same ownership. Now we have learned that a similar situation is taking place in the northwest suburbs.

According to a source (Aron Levy), The Painted Burro is opening in the Posto space in Bedford, with a Facebook post stating that the opening of the restaurant happened yesterday. This change also took place in Waltham this spring, as Osteria Posto was replaced by The Painted Burro; these two changes mean that only one Posto remains--in Somerville's Davis Square--while there are now three Painted Burros (including one in Davis Square) along with locations of Burro Bar in Boston and Brookline.

The Alpine Restaurant Group runs The Painted Burro, Posto, and Burro Bar, as well as Rosebud Kitchen in Davis Square.
