The Glenville Stops in Allston May Be Reopening

A restaurant and bar in Allston that closed down last fall could be reborn, and it would apparently be under new ownership.

According to a licensing board hearing page within the City of Boston website, The Glenville Stops is seeking to reopen, with the notice indicating that Glenville Tavern Services, Inc. is petitioning to transfer its beer and wine license to Allston Rock City, LLC while keeping the Glenville Stops name. The post also says that James Caruso would be the manager while a Google search shows that Fred Starikov is involved with the new parent company; both Caruso and Starikov are part of City Realty, which operates such spots as The Silhouette Lounge and The Tam.

The original incarnation of The Glenville Stops--which first opened in 2014--was known in part for its small plates and beer/wine options.

The address for The Glenville Stops space is 87 Glenville Avenue, Allston, MA, 02134.
