A longtime pizzeria in Charlestown is shutting down.
According to a source, Jenny's Pizza on Medford Street is closing its doors on June 30, with a Facebook post from the owner saying the following:
It's a decision that was made with many hours of thought. Labor issues, food costs and covid fatigue are real and valid. I've given Jenny's 37 years of my life the last 22 years as owner. The last 3 years have been the hardest and it has l taken a toll on me....It's not going to be easy for me to walk away but it's time while I can on my own terms. Jenny's first opened in 1970, offering pizza along with calzones, wings, subs, wraps, salads, pasta dishes, and more.
