A tiny Jamaica Plain eatery that is a cafe by day and a restaurant by night could be getting a lot bigger, as it is eyeing the space next door that had been home to another dining and drinking spot until closing earlier this year.
According to an article from Universal Hub, Brassica Kitchen + Cafe in the Forest Hills section of JP is seeking approval to expand into the former Dogwood Cafe space next door. If it gets the green light, Brassica would end up having four dining rooms, two bars, and two patios, with seating for 126 inside and 43 more outside.
Brassica Kitchen + Cafe first opened in 2016, taking over the space where Fazenda Cafe had once been; the dining spot offers coffee, tea, and donuts during the day on Thursdays and Fridays and dinner and drinks Wednesday through Saturday evenings while also offering a brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
The address for Brassica's current space is 3710 Washington Street while the former Dogwood Cafe space is at 3712 Washington Street. The website for Brassica is at https://www.brassicakitchen.com/
