A Japanese restaurant in downtown Boston that is known in part for its noodle dishes is expanding to a new location south of the city.
According to a source (via an Instagram post from @newenglandsign), Somenya in Chinatown is planning to open in the Wollaston section of Quincy, with the address mentioned indicating that it may be taking over the Great Chow space on Beale Street. Based on its Hudson Street location, the new restaurant will likely be offering udon noodles along with rice bowls and appetizers.
The Chinatown location of Somenya debuted in the fall of 2023.
The address for the new location of Somenya in Wollaston appears to be 15 Beale Street, Quincy, MA, 02170. The website for the business is at https://www.somenya.com/
