A pizza spot south of Boston has been reborn, opening in the space where a Greek eatery known in part for its pizza had been.
According to a source, Amanté Pizzeria is now open in Whitman, taking over the former Christo's To Go space on Route 18 just north of where it intersects Route 27. This appears to be a move, as Amanté had formerly been located in East Bridgewater, while Christo's To Go closed over the summer, having been the successor to the iconic Christo's restaurant in Brockton which had been in business for about 50 years until closing at the end of 2013 (Christo's To Go debuted about a year later).
Amanté features South Shore-style bar pizza while also offering roast beef sandwiches, pasta dishes, wings, burgers, wraps, subs, club sandwiches, and more.
The address for the new location of Amanté Pizzeria is 785 Bedford Street (Route 18), Whitman, MA, 02382. Its website can be found at https://www.amantepizzeria.com/
