It looks like a bakery-cafe in Cambridge that features Belgian waffles may be expanding to a suburban retail development, though its plans to open where a grilled cheese spot had been have changed.
According to a message from The Passionate Foodie, Zinneken's had been looking to open in the former Roxy's Grilled Cheese space at MarketStreet Lynnfield, with a Patch article and a Facebook page from the business giving the same information. A message sent to us by the business on July 8, however, mentions that they have decided not to open there, instead coming to a new location in the same development next to J.P. licks and the Apple store. The new location of Zinneken's is still expected to debut in October, according to the person we talked to.
The original Zinneken's first opened on Arrow Street in Harvard Square in September of 2011.

[June 11, 2019 update: Zinneken's has not yet opened at MarketStreet Lynnfield, but a source tells us that a sign is now up for the place, and its Facebook page states that it plans to open in the middle of July.]

Saus Is Opening a Vegetarian Outlet at Bow Market in Somerville

A quirky eatery in downtown Boston that is known in part for its Belgian-style street food is expanding to a new development in Somerville, and this location will focus on non-meat options.
According to an article from Boston Magazine, Saus on Union Street near Faneuil Hall is planning to open within Bow Market in Union Square, with the new outlet taking a corner space and an adjacent bay, making it one of the largest retail spaces in the building. The post says that owners Renee Eliah and Chin Kuo are making this a vegetarian version of the original, in part because of the lack of prep area but also because, as Eliah says, "As plant-based eating has gained more prominence in our general dining culture… it felt like the right time to experiment with a meat-free version of Saus."
The new location of Saus will join a number of other businesses at Bow Market, including Jaju Pierogi, Maca Macaronerie, Hooked Fish Shop, The Comedy Studio (which is moving from Cambridge's Harvard Square), and Remnant Brewing. Bow Market--which is located between Bow Street and Somerville Avenue--is expected to be completed by the spring of 2018. [Ed note--now open.]
[December 4, 2018 update: Eater Boston states that Saus will have its grand opening at Bow Market on Saturday, December 8, though it is currently going through what appears to be a soft opening with limited hours and a limited menu.]

Update: Saus in Boston Reopens After Temporarily Closing Due to Broken Water Pipe
[Ed note: This article was updated on August 3 to reflect the fact that Saus has reopened.]
A popular restaurant in downtown Boston that features Belgian street food and more has closed for the time being.
According to a Twitter post from the place, Saus is shut down for now, with the message saying "Hey, friends! We are temporarily closed and are unsure of when we'll be reopening. Stick to our Twitter feed for updates." A similar post on Facebook was also put up this afternoon, though no other information has been given on either Twitter or Facebook, or their website. As soon as we find out more about the status of the restaurant, we will post an update here.
[July 31 update: It appears that this is indeed a temporary closing, as Saus just added the following: "The building we're in is SUPER old, so we're just dealing with some issues" followed by this: "Update: a pipe broke so we're having a little trouble running water - fingers crossed we're back up soon! Again, thanks for the concern!"]
[August 3 update: According to a new post on its Facebook page, Saus is open once again, with the note saying "We can't thank you all enough for your incredible support after last week's temporary closure. We didn't mean to scare you! We are OPEN OPEN OPEN and expected to stay that way...we want to see your smiling faces."]
Saus first opened in the spring of 2011, featuring such items as liege waffles, poutine, and pommes frites, with more options such as salads and sandwiches eventually being added as well.

Saus Is Expanding Its Menu, Asking Diners for Opinions
A Faneuil Hall dining spot that specializes in Belgian street food is getting ready to expand its menu, and it is asking its customers to let them know if two specific dishes should be added.
According to the Boston Magazine Chowder blog, Saus is going to be adding salads, sandwiches, additional wraps, and beer to its menu, giving diners choices beyond the existing frites, poutine, and waffles. In addition, the eatery is also looking to add a "Sloppy Jacques" and vegetable croquettes to the menu, but would like to see what customers think about these. Zinneken's Belgian Waffles Bakery Opening in Harvard Square, Cambridge
It looks like a Belgian waffles bakery and cafe will soon be opening in Cambridge.
According to their Facebook page, Zinneken's is planning to open in Harvard Square, bringing to the area an eatery that features Belgian waffles, Belgian chocolate, desserts, coffee, and more. The dining spot will include outdoor seating and table service, and it will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Saus (Belgian Street Food) Opening in Boston
It appears that a dining spot specializing in Belgian street food is looking to open near Faneuil Hall in Boston. According to the WhereToEat.in blog, Saus will be opening on Union Street (just north and west of Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market) within two months or so and will be featuring Belgian street food.

The blog mentions that the cafe-style eatery will have a capacity of about 20 and that it will be offering such foods as liege waffles and pommes frites along with a variety of dipping sauces for both the waffles and the fries. (Based on an update from the Saus Twitter site, some possible sauces may include whipped honey mustard and green chile sauce, though it sounds like they are still in the experimental stage.)
