Danny Meyer Is Opening Daily Provisions in Cambridge's Harvard Square

A couple of months ago, it was reported that the person behind a NYC-based restaurant group would be bringing two dining spots to Boston, and now we have learned that he will also be bringing one of those places to Cambridge as well.

According to an article from Eater Boston, Danny Meyer and his Union Square Hospitality Group are planning to open a location of Daily Provisions in Harvard Square this summer, and it appears that this outlet will debut before the one coming to the Seaport District. As mentioned in an earlier article here, Meyer is going to be opening both Daily Provisions and a location of Ci Siamo (an Italian restaurant) at Commonwealth Pier in the fall/winter, and expect both locations of Daily Provisions to be all-day cafes that offer such options as crullers, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, roast chicken, and coffee (the Seaport location will also serve beer and wine, though it is not yet known whether the Harvard Square location will do so as well).

Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group includes such restaurants as Union Square Cafe, Gramercy Tavern, and The Modern, while Meyer is also behind the Shake Shack chain.

The address for the new location of Daily Provisions in Harvard Square is 1 Brattle Square, Cambridge, MA, 02138. The website for Daily Provisions is at https://www.dailyprovisionsnyc.com/

Danny Meyer to Open Ci Siamo and Daily Provisions in Boston's Seaport District

Early last year, it was reported that a NYC-based restaurant group with a big name behind it was looking to bring a couple of dining spots to the Boston waterfront, and now we know more about the plans.

According to an article in The Boston Globe, Danny Meyer is planning to open a location of Ci Siamo in the city's Seaport District, along with a location of Daily Provisions, with both residing at Commonwealth Pier. The post mentions that Ci Siamo will be an Italian restaurant that joins a location in Manhattan and is run by chef Hillary Sterling, offering such items as stuffed whole trout, pizza bianca, and rabbit in white wine, while Daily Provisions will offer crullers, sandwiches, roast chicken, coffee, and more along with beer and wine, and it will join a handful of locations in New York City. If all goes as planned, Ci Siamo will open next winter while Daily Provisions will come first, debuting sometime in the fall.

Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group includes such restaurants as Union Square Cafe, Gramercy Tavern, and The Modern, while Meyer is also behind the Shake Shack chain.

Union Square Hospitality Group to Open Two Restaurants in Boston's Seaport District

A NYC-based restaurant group that has a well-known name behind it is bringing a couple of dining spots to the Boston waterfront.

According to an article in The Boston Globe, Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group is planning to open two restaurants to the city's Seaport District, with both opening at the upcoming Commonwealth Pier mixed-use development at 200 Seaport Boulevard. The article mentions that the two dining spots will be locations of existing brands from the group, though specific details have not been given as of yet (one will apparently be casual while the other will be a bit more "elevated"); if all goes as planned, both places will open sometime in 2025.

The Union Square Hospitality Group includes such restaurants as Union Square Cafe, Gramercy Tavern, and The Modern, while Meyer is also behind the rapidly-growing Shake Shack chain. Its website can be found at https://www.ushg.com/
