A seafood spot and market that resided in a North Shore town with few dining options has closed after only a year in business.
A tweet from @wtfdic_hour mentions (via a Facebook post from the Boston's Wicked North Shore Facebook page) that Nahant Fish & Lobster is no longer in operation, with a Facebook post from the Nahant Road place confirming this, saying that "Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have decided to close permanently." It is not known exactly why the business shuttered, nor is it known what might become of the space, so keep checking back for updates.
Nahant Fish & Lobster first opened last September, being a takeout spot that offered a variety of raw and cooked seafood items along with ready-to-eat meals such as clam chowder, tuna burgers, lobster rolls, haddock sandwiches, and more.
The address for this now-closed dining spot and market in Nahant was: Nahant Fish & Lobster, 157 Nahant Road, Nahant, MA, 01908.

The Oceanview of Nahant Is Now Open to the Public for Dinner on Weekends
A wedding venue on the North Shore that is known in part for its spectacular water views is now a restaurant of sorts, serving dinner to the public on weekends.
A poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page states (via the Facebook page for the place) that the Oceanview of Nahant has introduced a "Supper Club" where diners can sit in a tent overlooking the ocean and order from a prix fixe menu that includes an appetizer, salad, main entree, and dessert while also being able to choose from a list of beer, wine, and cocktail options. (We have been told that their outdoor deck is open to the public as well.) The Supper Club is generally set up on Saturdays and Sundays, though it is best to check ahead in advance in case special events are taking place at the venue on a given day.
The address for the Oceanview of Nahant is 0 Willow Road, Nahant, MA, 01908. Its website can be found at https://oceanviewofnahant.com/

John Moore (Navy Yard Bistro in Charlestown) Is Opening Seasons at Nahant Golf Club
The person behind a restaurant and wine bar in Charlestown is opening a new oceanside eatery in a town that has very few dining options.
According to a job post within the Craigslist site, John Moore of Navy Yard Bistro is planning to open Seasons at the Nahant Golf Club, with the post saying that the place hoping to open in the next couple of weeks. Based on the post and the website for the golf club, Seasons will have a New American menu that is similar to that of Navy Yard Bistro, while also having gourmet pizza and a raw bar, and it will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.
The Nahant Golf Club is located on the other side of Willow Road from Nahant Harbor, a short distance away from one of only two dining options in Nahant--Seaside Pizza--and a bit further away from The Tides restaurant, which sits at the southern edge of Nahant Beach.
The address for this upcoming restaurant in Nahant is: Seasons at the Nahant Golf Club, 1 Willow Road, Nahant, MA, 01908. The website for the golf club is at http://www.nahantgolfclub.com/
[May 8 update: Based on the website for the Nahant Golf Club and a note sent to us, it appears that Seasons is going through a soft opening with some food available at the bar mostly for tournaments and golf leagues, and it looks like it will be open for Mother's Day this coming Sunday, with the official opening possibly being around Memorial Day.]
[May 22 update: A new Facebook page from John Moore indicates that a pre-opening menu was offered at Seasons at Nahant Golf Club this past Friday and Saturday, so it appears to be on the verge of opening for real. (As mentioned earlier, Seasons has been looking at an official opening around Memorial Day.)]
[June 4 update: According to multiple posts on the Nahant Golf Club Facebook page, Seasons is now fully open.]
