Diamond Tart Opens in Allston

A dessert shop that features a special kind of pastry has come to a Boston neighborhood.

A message sent by Leah Klein of City Living Boston mentions that Diamond Tart is now open in Allston, moving into the space on Harvard Avenue where a location of the Taiwanese chain Tiger Sugar had been. The new eatery offers croissant tarts (which are basically a combination of a flaky croissant and an egg tart) with flavors including chocolate, blueberry, matcha, pistachio, strawberry, cinnamon apple, and hazelnut popcorn along with canele options, and the place also serves a variety of teas.

The address for Diamond Tart is 181 Harvard Avenue, Allston, MA, 02134. Its website can be found at https://www.diamondtart.com/

Glazed Bytes Opens at The Shops at Chestnut Hill

A new cafe that offers a twist on two popular breakfast items has opened a few miles west of Boston.

According to both an article from the Boston Business Journal and a page within the Simon site, Glazed Bytes is now open on the upper level of The Shops At Chestnut Hill, with the place featuring "croffles," or a mix of croissants and waffles. The menu for the eatery shows both sweet and savory croffles, with the former including ice cream and sauce and the latter including melted cheese and toppings such as bacon and pepperoni, while pasta salads, sandwiches, and coffee and tea are also available.

Lakon Paris Patisserie in Newton Highlands Is Opening a New Shop in Brookline's Coolidge Corner

A bakery and pastry shop in the western suburbs is expanding to a second location not too far away.

According to a source (Gary Goldblatt), Lakon Paris Patisserie in Newton Highlands is planning to open a new outlet in Brookline, with the address given indicating that it will take over a storefront by the corner of Beacon Street and Summit Avenue in the town's Coolidge Corner area. It appears that the new shop will focus on takeout as it will not have indoor seating, and based on the offerings at the original Walnut Street location, expect to see a variety of croissants along with other baked goods and pastries.

The address for the new location of Lakon Paris Patisserie in Coolidge Corner is 1410 Beacon Street, Brookline, MA, 02446. The website for the Newton Highlands shop can be found at https://lakonparispatisserie.com/
