A new takeout restaurant and caterer has opened in Charlestown, and one of its options for ordering takeout is a rather unique one.
According to the restaurant's website, Andiamo is now open in the City Square section of this Boston neighborhood, bringing to the area a place to get freshly-prepared salads, hot foods, refrigerated foods, and catering plates. Both the website and a Boston Business Journal article mention that the new eatery will be offering Italian items, including pasta, pizza, macaroni and cheese, and more. An interesting feature at Andiamo is the "faux home-chef" option, which allows customers to take their food with them in Pyrex dishes (at an extra charge).
Andiamo is part of the Legendary Restaurant Group, which also runs Papagayo Mexican Kitchen and Bar in the Fort Point section of Boston, Scollay Square on the edge of Beacon Hill, Tavern on the Water in Charlestown, and Max and Dylan's in Downtown Crossing and Charlestown (the latter of which is also in City Square).
