An international HIV/AIDS fundraiser returns to the Boston area once again later this month, with a number of area restaurants taking part in the event.
An email sent to us indicates that Dining Out for
Life will take place on Thursday, April 26, with participating restaurants
donating 25% of all sales to the AIDS Action Committee of
Massachusetts, which helps provide HIV/AIDS care and prevention services to
people in the Boston area and elsewhere in the state. A few of the dining spots that will be participating in the event include 28 Degrees, Avila, Birch Street Bistro, The Fireplace, KO Prime, Picante, Tasca, and Tres Gatos.
Dining Out for Life started out in 1991 and is now held in a number of cities in the United States and Canada. Since 1999, the money raised by Dining Out for Life and the efforts of the AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts have helped reduce new diagnoses of HIV in the state by 54%.
