Is Hungry Coyote Returning to Waltham?

A Mexican restaurant in Waltham that closed several years ago could be in the process of returning to the city, possibly moving into a space near its former spot.

The Brand New Watch blog of Wicked Local is reporting that Hungry Coyote may be opening in a small space on Moody Street between Bombay Mahal and Wings Express, just down the street from its former spot where Habanero's Mexican Kitchen currently resides--and where Tango Mango had been housed before Habanero's. (Hungry Coyote closed in that space in the fall of 2006.) A sign above the door indicates that Hungry Coyote might already be open, though we are trying to confirm this. The sign also notes that the restaurant is looking to serve beer and wine.

It is not known what the exact address is for the new Hungry Coyote, but could be either 460 Moody Street or 462 Moody Street.

[May 9 update: We now have an answer to the question "Is Hungry Coyote moving to Waltham?" The answer appears to be "no," as a recent post from the Brand New Watch blog of Wicked Local mentions that the sign for the restaurant is back down, the memorabilia that was in the front windows is no longer there, and a worker at the adjacent Bombay Mahal has said that the folks behind the eatery have decided not to move into the space after all.]
