Update: The Owners of Lineage and 28 Degrees Are NOT Opening a New Restaurant in Wayland

[Ed note: This article was updated on May 31 to reflect the fact that this restaurant will not be opening after all.]

Yesterday, we reported that it was looking like the owners of two upscale Boston-area restaurants were teaming up to open a new spot in Wayland. Now we have learned that this won't be happening.

An article in the The Wayland Town Crier that mentioned Carl Christian of 28 Degrees in Boston's South End and Jeremy Sewall of Lineage in Brookline planning to open a new eatery in the former Finnerty's Country Squire space turns out to be an old post, though it had somehow entered Google news yesterday as a new story. We apologize for the error. (Sewall is also involved with Eastern Standard, The Hawthorne, and Island Creek Oyster Bar in Kenmore Square, along with the upcoming Row 34 in Fort Point.)
