2013 Taste of Jamaica Plain to Be Held in...West Roxbury

An annual culinary event in Jamaica Plain is returning once again, but this year it won't actually be coming to JP--it will apparently be held in another Boston neighborhood this year.

The Jamaica Plain Gazette is reporting that the 2013 Taste of Jamaica Plain will be held somewhere in West Roxbury on November 21 because its usual venue--Cedars Hall at Our Lady of the Cedars of Lebanon Church on Rockwood Street--will be undergoing renovations. The folks behind the annual tasting event are "feverishly trying to find another spot" right now, so stay tuned for updates.

[November 20 update: West Roxbury Main Streets posted on the Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook page that the 2013 Taste of Jamaica Plain will be held at the Elks Lodge at 1 Morrell Street in West Roxbury, with the event taking place tomorrow (as mentioned earlier).]
