A casual upscale restaurant in Boston's Beacon Hill that features mostly Italian fare has closed for the time being, though it appears that it will reopen after renovations are done.
According to a source, a sign out front at Bin 26 Enoteca on Charles Street says that the place closed on Monday for what another note in the window says is a "facelift," with the place planning to reopen next Monday (February 8) after "refreshing the restaurant decor." One of the notes out front refers diners to Lala Rokh, a Persian restaurant located nearby on Mount Vernon Street that is also run by the BiNA Hospitality Group, which operates jm Curley and Bogie's Place in Downtown Crossing as well. (BiNA was also behind the now-closed Merrill & Co. in the South End and Sunny Boy in Brookline.)
Our source says that a lot of activity was going on inside Bina 26 this morning, including "hammering" and "sawing."
[February 10 update: It appears that Bin 26 is open once again, as a Facebook post from the place says "The Bin's new Facelift is finished! Come check it out!"]
