According to a Twitter post from this past Friday, Sweet Tomatoes on Washington Street has a sign out front saying that it will reopen this summer, though no specific opening date has been given as of yet. (Currently, much of the storefront is covered by sheets of plywood.) On March 1, an SUV crashed through the front of the eatery at dinnertime, killing two people and injuring seven others, with one witness mentioning that "it sounded like a bomb went off."
Other locations of Sweet Tomatoes in Newton Centre, Needham, and at Northeastern University in Boston remain in operation.
