A group of coffee shops and cafes with roots in Central Africa will be opening a second Boston-area location, and this one will replace a location of another group of coffee shops.
According to a message from the Corbett Restaurant Group, Bourbon Coffee is planning to open in the Boston Common Coffee Co. space in the North Station/West End area of Boston, with the sale of the space apparently going through last week. A check on the Boston Common Coffee Co. website shows that the Canal Street outlet has been removed, so it is possible that the shop has already closed, though we will try to confirm this.
Bourbon Coffee, which started out in Rwanda in 2007, features Rwandan coffee along with pastries, baked goods, tea, and more; they currently have several locations, including one in Cambridge's Porter Square. (The sole remaining location of Boston Common Coffee Co. is on High Street in the Financial District of Boston.)
The address for the upcoming location of Bourbon Coffee is 103 Canal Street, Boston, MA, 02114. Its website can be found at https://bourboncoffeeusa.com/ while the website for Boston Common Coffee Co. is at https://www.bostoncommoncoffee.com/
