Lobstah on a Roll Is Replacing Wabora Asian Fusion Bistro in Boston's Back Bay

A pair of Boston-area restaurants known for their huge lobster rolls is expanding to the Back Bay, and it could be taking over the space where a sushi spot currently resides.

According to a licensing board hearing page within the city's website, Wabora Asian Fusion Bistro has petitioned to change over to Lobstah on a Roll, with the notice indicating that the latter would indeed be taking over the space of the former. The listing gives little other information, though it does mention that a beer and wine license is involved, so it appears that the liquor license would be going to Lobstah on a Roll. If approved, this would be the third location of the dining spot, with others being in Boston's South End and in Salem.

Wabora first opened in June of 2015, taking over the space where Ikura Sushi had been; the restaurant has a connection to another spot with the same name in Ontario.

The address for the new location of Lobstah on a Roll (and Wabora) is 254 Newbury Street, Boston, MA, 02116.
