A new cocktail bar that offers Mexican street food has come to a particularly hot section of Somerville.
According to an article from Eater Boston, Barra is now open in Union Square, moving into the space on Bow Street where Juice Union had been. As mentioned in an article here earlier, the new spot--which has seating along a counter as well as by the bar--is a sort of "cousin" to the award-winning Peruvian restaurant Celeste which is two doors down, and it offers a handful of dishes influenced by the Mexico City street scene while also serving spirits from Latin America and cocktails made with fresh juices, with craft beers and natural wines also being offered.
