A highly-anticipated Greek wine bar has arrived in Boston.
Eater Boston mentions that Krasi opens this evening in the Back Bay, moving into the old Cafe Jaffa space on Gloucester Street. As reported here earlier, the new dining and drinking spot is run by Demetri Tsolakis (Committee, Greco), while Theo Tsilipanos and Tasha Breshinsky (Committee) and Stefanos Ougrinis (Greco) are partners and Valentine Howell (Locke-Ober, Mastro's Ocean Club) is executive chef. Krasi features an extensive list of Greek wines, with food offerings including breads, cheeses, charcuterie, and meze, or small plates. (A separate cocktail bar called Hecate will eventually be opening downstairs, possibly later this year.)
Cafe Jaffa, which closed last year after being in business since 1991, was known for its Middle Eastern and Mediterranean food.
The address for Krasi is 48 Gloucester Street, Boston, MA, 02115. Its website can be found at https://krasiboston.com/
