BISq in Cambridge's Inman Square Has Closed

A popular restaurant and wine bar in Cambridge has shut down for good.

According to a source, BISq in Inman Square is no longer in business, with a phone call placed to the Cambridge Street spot confirming this, saying that it has indeed closed down permanently. We have been told by our source that their closing may have been due to a lease issue, but this has not been completely confirmed as of yet; if we find out any additional information on this, we will post an update here.

BISq first opened in 2015, being a sibling to the now-closed Bergamot (and FAB, which took over the Bergamot space) in Somerville, featuring small plates, craft beer, wine, and liqueurs.

The address for the now-closed BISq was 1071 Cambridge Street, Cambridge, MA, 02139.

Jeremy tells us that this will be a "natural wine bar + dessert concept" that could be opening in approximately six weeks, while an earlier Cambridge Day article mentions that it will have seating for 19.

The people behind Zuzu's Petals are Alexandra Whisnant of Gâté Comme Des Filles, a chocolate shop at Somerville's Bow Market, and Robert MacLean, Jr. of Picnic & Pantry, a food market that also resides at Bow Market.

The address for Zuzu's Petals is 204 Hampshire Street, Cambridge, MA, 02139. Its website can be found at https://www.zuzuspetalscambridge.com/

[July 29 update: According to an article from Eater Boston, Zuzu's Petals is now open, though it is only open Friday and Saturday evenings for the next few weeks, while the post also mentions that the spot is a cellphone-free zone; in the article, MacLean says, "We don't like cellphones....We think they're ruining culture."
