A coastal Italian restaurant and a natural wine bar open today, and a couple of well-known names are behind the two spots.
As mentioned in an earlier article here, Faccia Brutta and Bar Pallino are now open in the Back Bay of Boston, with both taking up residence on Newbury Street and the bar being in the lower level of the space. Ken Oringer (Coppa, Little Donkey, Toro, Uni) and Jamie Bissonnette (Coppa, Little Donkey, Toro) have teamed up once again to open the two places, which have been in the works for approximately three years and were first written about here back in the early part of 2021.
Eater Boston shows the opening menu for Faccia Brutta which includes such items as Island Creek oysters, stuffed olives, mortadella, crispy squash blossoms, razor clams, grilled octopus, nettle risotto, spaghetti aglio olio, chicken milanese, and a grilled half lobster, while Bar Pallino offers more than 70 wines along with such options as vermouths, amari, and mezcals.
The address for Faccia Brutta and Bar Pallino is 276-278 Newbury Street, Boston, MA, 02116
