Isaac's Restaurant in Plymouth Has Closed

A South Shore mainstay that was known for its ocean views and casual upscale atmosphere has shut down permanently.

According to several sources, including a tweet from @JeremyKrantz along with several members of the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Isaac's Restaurant in Plymouth is no longer in business, with a Taunton Daily Gazette article indicating that its closure was the result of both a lease issue and the COVID-19 pandemic. The post mentions that because the Water Street dining spot resided in a second-floor space, outdoor dining was not a viable option, while indoor dining at a reduced capacity was also unsustainable, with owner Bob Infusino saying that "... I can't face both a high rent and pandemic at the same time."

Issac's, which first opened more than 30 years ago, featured classic American fare and seafood dishes along with beer, wine and cocktails, with the restaurant being popular with both locals and tourists (the dining spot was located just north of Plymouth Rock).

The address for Isaac's Restaurant was 114 Water Street, Plymouth, MA, 02360.
