Square Mfg. Co. Is Opening in Natick

A new dining spot is on its way to the western suburbs of Boston, and it will feature a style of pizza that is difficult to find in the local area.

According to a source, Square Mfg. Co. is planning to open in Natick, with an article from the Natick Report saying that the upcoming eatery will be located on Route 9 West in a strip mall. The post says that the place will offer Detroit-style pizza, which is only offered in a few places in the Greater Boston area (including Volo in Swampscott and Avenue Kitchen + Bar in Somerville) and which is a rectangular/square pan pizza that has a thick and crunchy crust, caramelized cheese along the edges, and typically has the sauce placed above the cheese and toppings.

The Natick Report says that Square Mfg. Co. hopes to open sometime this winter and that it will be takeout only at first, with delivery being planned within two months of its debut.

The website for Square Mfg. Co. is at https://www.squaremfg.co/

[December 3 update: According to a tweet from @nicolerusso, Square Mfg. Co. officially opens on Wednesday, December 9, and she also mentions that the restaurant will have a soft-opening tomorrow (Friday, December 4).]
