A Cambridge watering hole that is known in part for its pizza has opened back up, much to the relief of those who have been hearing chatter about it closing permanently.
According to a Facebook post from Rachel Blumenthal of Eater Boston, Newtowne Grille in the Porter Square area of the city has reopened, which should end rumors of the Mass. Ave. spot shutting down for good. The bar had been closed throughout the pandemic and messages sent to the Billerica outlet went unanswered, leading some to wonder over the summer and fall if the Cambridge location was done.
Newtowne Grille features thin-crust pizza that has some similarities to New York-style pies, making it one of the few options in the Boston area for that style of pizza.
The address for Newtowne Grille in Cambridge is 1945 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA, 02140. Its website can be found at https://www.newtownegrille.com/
