Cisco Brewers Has Closed Its Pub in Portsmouth, NH; Facility Will Continue to Produce Beer

A local brewery has shut down one of its pubs, though its beermaking operation within that space won't be affected.

According to a Facebook post from the business, Cisco Brewers has closed the bar at its facility in Portsmouth, NH, with the post saying the following:

We have loved being a part of this wonderful community and want to thank our many patrons over the years, and especially our amazing team, for being so welcoming and for the incredible experience in Portsmouth.

The post goes on to say that Cisco will continue to brew its beers at the Corporate Drive space, and no changes are expected at its locations in Nantucket, Boston's Seaport District, and New Bedford. (The Portsmouth location first opened in 2018, replacing Redhook Brewery.)

The address for the Portsmouth location of Cisco Brewers is 35 Corporate Drive, Portsmouth, NH, 03801. Its website can be found at https://www.ciscobrewers.com/

Redemption Rock Brewing Co. in Worcester Is Closing

A brewery, taproom, and cafe in Central Massachusetts is saying farewell.

According to a Facebook post from the business, Redemption Rock Brewing Co. is getting ready to shut down, with the post saying the following:

It is with equal parts sadness and gratitude that we're announcing that Redemption Rock Brewing is closing. Our last day will be Sunday, December 29. Despite our best efforts, we simply haven't been able to grow the business enough to remain open. And we've run out of time. But for the time we did have, we're forever grateful....Our hours and offering will remain the same for as long as they can, our events calendar will go on as planned, and we'll keep providing the same good vibes we always have through December 29. Additionally, all tips will be going to our employees from here on out. Please treat them generously. Will it get crazy busy here in December? We sure hope so. And we hope you'll come and celebrate with us as often as you can, or at least for one last beer.

Redemption Rock first opened on Shrewsbury Street in the early part of 2019, with part of its focus including being a community center where people could spend time in what its website says is "a welcoming and comfortable space filled with diverse and delicious craft beer, good vibes, a sense of purpose, and people working to do better for their community."

The address for Redemption Rock Brewing Co. is 333 Shrewsbury Street, Worcester, MA, 01604. Its website is at https://www.redemptionrock.beer/

Menya Jiro at Legacy Place in Dedham Has Closed

It looks like a ramen spot southwest of Boston has shut down.

According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Menya Jiro at Legacy Place in Dedham is no longer in operation, with a check on the Legacy Place website seeming to confirm this as it has removed the restaurant from the site. The Dedham location of the chain first opened in 2022, joining another outlet in the Harvard Square section of Cambridge (which Google mentions as "temporarily closed").

The address for the now-closed Menya Jiro in Dedham was 756 Legacy Place, Dedham, MA, 02026.

La Esquina del Sabor Replaces Antique Table in Winthrop

A location of a small group of Italian restaurants on the North Shore has closed, and a Colombian dining spot has expanded into its space.

According to multiple sources, Antique Table in Winthrop is no longer in operation, and there is now a sign up for La Esquina del Sabor, which has taken over the Crest Avenue space. It appears that locations of Antique Table in Lynn and Salem remain in operation, while the upcoming location of La Esquina del Sabor appears to be an expansion rather than a move from its home on Unity Avenue in Revere.

The address for the new La Esquina del Sabor (and now-closed Antique Table) in Winthrop is 19 Crest Avenue, Winthrop, MA, 02152.
