The new shop joins others on Harrison Avenue in the South End and Beacon Street in Somerville, and it offers such options as bread, pastries, coffee, tea, sandwiches, and more.

The address for PRB Boulangerie in Kendall Square is 295 Third Street, Cambridge, MA, 02142. The website for all locations is at https://www.prbboulangerie.com/

Colette Bakery Cafe Is Opening in Melrose

It looks like a bakery in Medford may be expanding to a space a few miles to the north.

According to a message sent by Richard Auffrey of The Passionate Foodie, Colette Bakery Cafe is planning to open in Melrose, with a sign being up for the place at a storefront on Main Street in the downtown area. Based on the logo shown in the window, this is the same Colette that resides on Main Street in South Medford, moving into the former Italo space in the spring of 2020. Based on that location, the new store could feature pastries, baked goods, and desserts, all with French influences.

The address for Colette Bakery Cafe in Melrose is 465 Main Street, Melrose, MA, 02176. The website for the original location can be found at https://colettebakery.com/

Parla, Le Macaron Both Plan to Open at Assembly Row in Somerville

A growing mixed-use development in Somerville will become home to two new options for food, including one with a familiar name locally.

According to a press release, Parla and Le Macaron are planning to open at Assembly Row, with the former being a second location of an Italian restaurant in Boston's North End and the latter being the first Boston-area location of a Florida-based chain of French patisseries that currently has one New England location in Windham, NH. Both spots are slated to open sometime this year, though no specific opening dates have been given as of yet.

Parla first opened its North End restaurant in 2014 while Le Macaron started out a bit more than 10 years ago.

The website for Parla is at https://www.parlaboston.com/ while the website for Le Macaron is at https://lemacaron-us.com/

[May 12 update: A post within the jobs section of bostonchefs.com says that Parla is "days away" from opening at Assembly Row, while a new Facebook post from Le Macaron says that it is also opening soon.]
