Last week it was reported that a Kosher caterer in Brookline has started to offer takeout food to the public as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to cause businesses to have to readjust, and now we have learned that another caterer that focuses on Kosher food has done the same.
According to its website, A Perfect Taste is slated to debut a takeout shop in Sharon today, moving into the space in the Sharon Heights Shopping Plaza on South Main Street that will eventually become home to a new restaurant called A La Esh, which Avi Shemtov of Simcha will be opening. A few options offered at the shop include wild mushroom soup, an Israeli quinoa salad, chicken sofrito, cottage pie with beef, mushroom strudel, sweet potato pie topped with brisket, and salted caramel pretzel brownie squares. The website for A Perfect Taste indicates that the popup will be open Tuesday through Friday for curbside pickup.
As mentioned earlier, Catering by Andrew on Harvard Street in Brookline has also started to offer restaurant-style takeout food to the public.
The address for A Perfect Taste's retail popup shop is 370 South Main Street, Sharon, MA, 02067. The website for the business can be found at http://aperfecttaste.com/

FoMu Says Farewell to Newbury Street in Boston's Back Bay (Again)
A local group of vegan ice cream shops has left one of Boston's busiest streets once again, as its long-term pop-up shop has apparently closed down earlier than expected.
Eater Boston is reporting that FoMu shuttered its temporary Newbury Street shop this week, leaving the space that had once been home to the clothing store Scoop NYC. This is the second time that FoMu has popped up on Newbury Street, with another one being open from August to October of last year--and the latest shop had been planning to stay open through the end of this year, but it shut down a few months early.
FoMu currently has permanent locations in Allston, the South End, and Jamaica Plain, and in addition to its two temporary locations on Newbury Street, it has also had pop-ups in the Fenway and Cambridge's Inman Square.
The address for the now-closed location of FoMu was 177 Newbury Street, while the website for all locations can be found at http://www.fomuicecream.com/

FoMu to Return to Newbury Street in Boston's Back Bay
A trio of vegan ice cream shops that has set up a few pop-up stores around the Boston area is returning to one of the city's busiest streets for at least awhile.
Eater Boston is reporting that FoMu is going to be setting up shop at 177 Newbury Street in the Back Bay, moving into the space where the clothing store Scoop NYC had been. It looks like the ice cream store will be in that space through the end of 2017, though it is not known if it will definitely leave the space at that time or whether it could end up staying there longer. FoMu had also opened a pop-up shop at 144 Newbury Street last August, remaining there until October.
FoMu currently has permanent locations in Allston, the South End, and Jamaica Plain, and in addition to its present and past temporary locations on Newbury Street, the business also once had pop-ups set up in the Fenway and Cambridge's Inman Square. The website for all locations can be found at http://www.fomuicecream.com/

Goodnight Fatty to Get Kitchen Space in Salem; "Top Secret" Plans Also in the Works
A late-night cookie business on the North Shore has some new plans in the works.
According to a Facebook post, Goodnight Fatty is getting its own kitchen space somewhere in Salem, with the note saying that the "Fatty factory" will let them do more in the way of pop-ups and it will also help support the "top secret plans" that they have. Last fall, the people behind the company set up a cookie pop-up within Derby Joe's coffee shop on Friday and Saturday nights, offering a variety of cookies to customers looking for a late-night snack.
The address for Goodnight Fatty (and Derby Joe) is 142 Derby Street, Salem, MA, 01970. The website for Goodnight Fatty can be found at http://goodnightfatty.com/
[May 16 update: Eater Boston states that Goodnight Fatty is setting up shop in a conference room space that is accessed via the Higginson Square alleyway in back of the building at 10 Derby Square. The post says that the owners of the late-night weekend-only cookie business have partnered with Sperling Interactive on the space, with the dough being cooked onsite after being made at a rented commercial kitchen space. Eater says that Goodnight Fatty had a soft opening last weekend with its grand opening coming this weekend, and that it will be open from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays.]
