Terra Luna Cafe Opens in Lawrence

Downtown Lawrence has a new restaurant, this one being a bit more upscale than most of the dining spots in the immediate area. The Terra Luna Cafe, which is located along Appleton Way (the pedestrian walkway in the heart of Lawrence's downtown district), features reasonably priced continental cuisine, including pan-seared crab cakes, roasted pork loin, grilled sirloin steak, and penne with chicken and vegetables. Desserts include creme brulee and flan. Prices for dinner entrees are mostly between $10 and $15.

The address for this new restaurant in downtown Lawrence is: Terra Luna Cafe, 225 Essex Street (Appleton Way), Lawrence, MA 01841. The phone number is (978) 747-7989.

Carriage House Grille Is Open in Sudbury

The Clarion Carriage House Inn on Route 20 in Sudbury is home to a new restaurant. The Carriage House Grille opened today within the hotel and will feature breakfast, lunch, and dinner (brunch will also be featured on weekends). The cuisine at the Carriage House Grille will mostly be regional New England food.

Earlier, we had mentioned that this restaurant was to be called the Coach House Grille (that was according to an old Craigslist job posting). Also, we had been unsure whether this restaurant was connected to The Coach Grill in nearby Wayland; the inn stated this week that they were not.

The address for this new restaurant in Sudbury is: Carriage House Grille, 738 Boston Post Road (Route 20), Sudbury, MA, 01776. The main phone number for the hotel is (978) 443-2223.

Habanero Mexican Grill Opens in Allston

Allston is now home to another Mexican restaurant. Habanero Mexican Grill opened its doors earlier this week on Brighton Avenue in this bustling Boston neighborhood, moving into the space where Eats and Treats used to be. The menu at Habanero Mexican Grill features such familiar items as quesadillas, tortas, burritos, enchiladas, and fajitas. They also have some Central American dishes as well. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The address for this new Allston restaurant is: Habanero Mexican Grill, 166 Brighton Avenue, Allston, MA, 02134. The phone number is (617) 254-0299.

Photos of the New Bella Luna/Milky Way Lounge Space in Jamaica Plain

A few days ago, we had mentioned that Bella Luna and The Milky Way Lounge have reopened in The Brewery, an historic building on Amory Street in Jamaica Plain. We checked the place out last night and took some photos, which are posted below. The first two pictures are of the outside of the building; the third picture is the hallway inside the building; the fourth picture is the inside of the restaurant and lounge; and the last picture shows their steak frites dish.

The outdoor deck and back room (where live entertainment will be offered) are still being worked on, and little odds and ends are being taken care of, but Bella Luna and the Milky Way Lounge are indeed open for business and work on the spot should mostly be mostly done over the coming weeks.

One note: We will be updating the old review we have of Bella Luna on the Boston's Hidden Restaurants site over the next week or so; stay tuned!

Located on Main Street in a strip of small shops just north of downtown, Habesha is a tiny restaurant with a handful of tables and a bar area inside the dining room. The menu includes a number of traditional Ethiopian dishes, including some that are highly spicy. Prices are reasonable and service is friendly and helpful.
