A Final Farewell to Anthony's Pier 4 in Boston [Photos]

After 50 years in business, Anthony's Pier 4 closed its doors on the Boston waterfront last night, and while there is still talk that the landmark restaurant might reopen in a new space nearby, the original building will eventually be gone, making way for what may be parkland. Below are a few photos taken of Anthony's yesterday evening, shortly before the dining spot said farewell for now (and possibly forever).

Boston's Hidden Restaurants Now Has A Pinterest Page

Our sister site (Boston's Hidden Restaurants) focuses mostly on little-known restaurants in the Boston area, and along with its reviews, there are also hundreds of food and restaurant photos within the site. Because of this, the website now has a page on Pinterest, a social media site that dedicates itself to pictures of all kinds, including food.

Pictures from the 2010 Phantom Gourmet BBQ Beach Party

We just got back from the 2010 Phantom Gourmet BBQ Beach Party that is being held at Suffolk Downs in East Boston this weekend. A few photos of the food we tried are below--I would say that personally, the chopped pork from Chicago BBQ and the beef sandwich from Texas Thunder were the two best items, though everything we tried was good.

Photos of the New Bella Luna/Milky Way Lounge Space in Jamaica Plain

A few days ago, we had mentioned that Bella Luna and The Milky Way Lounge have reopened in The Brewery, an historic building on Amory Street in Jamaica Plain. We checked the place out last night and took some photos, which are posted below. The first two pictures are of the outside of the building; the third picture is the hallway inside the building; the fourth picture is the inside of the restaurant and lounge; and the last picture shows their steak frites dish.

The outdoor deck and back room (where live entertainment will be offered) are still being worked on, and little odds and ends are being taken care of, but Bella Luna and the Milky Way Lounge are indeed open for business and work on the spot should mostly be mostly done over the coming weeks.

One note: We will be updating the old review we have of Bella Luna on the Boston's Hidden Restaurants site over the next week or so; stay tuned!
