According to a Facebook post from the restaurant (which was posted onto the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page), 62 Restaurant & Wine Bar in Salem is shutting down next month, with co-owner Tony Bettencourt saying that "Being a chef is a path that includes constant learning, constant growth and constant evolution. That path has led me here. On Saturday October 3rd I will be closing 62 Restaurant & Wine Bar. While the chapter ends for 62, rest assured, my path doesn’t end here. Stay tuned for a new chapter…"

[October 5 update: 62 Restaurant & Wine Bar closed over the weekend, but according to a Facebook post from the place, a new spot called  A MANO Italian Kitchen & Pizzeria will be moving into the space--and it looks to be a reconcepting from the same ownership. If all goes as planned, the new restaurant opens on Saturday.]

62 Restaurant & Wine Bar first opened approximately eight years ago at Pickering Wharf, with the dining spot mostly featuring Italian food along with an array of wine, beer, and cocktail options.

The address for 62 Restaurant & Wine Bar (and A MANO Italian Kitchen and Pizzeria) is: 62 Wharf Street, Salem, MA, 01970.
